About Me

Jennifer Shin Bassett is an award-winning Executive Producer and Podcast Development Lead.

She founded Big Din Productions, a women-run podcast production company and has partnered with iHeartMedia, Hello Sunshine, Motherly Media, LA Times Studio, HarperCollins, and more. She has over five years of experience in producing podcasts for various audiences and platforms, including Time Out: A Fair Play Podcast (iHeart & Hello Sunshine), She Wants More (iHeart), Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver (iHeart), The Motherly Podcast, and Talking Feds. Currently, she’s working on iHeart’s development team, helping to decide which new shows to greenlight.

Before starting Big Din, Jennifer was the Global Content Lead for Strategic Marketing at Spotify, where she headed up the content and storytelling for the free B2B business, managing digital marketing, website content, content production, the newsletter, research, sales marketing materials, and presentations and content for key events. She also co-led third-party thought leadership research projects on Gen Zs, podcasting, and millennials and streaming. Prior to that, she was the Head of Global Content and Communications at Outbrain, leading the company's content strategy, content marketing, and PR activities. She also led Outbrain's Trust initiative, creating a communications plan and forging strategic partnerships around media literacy and disinformation. She also has agency experience; she headed up the content strategy team at Havas working with clients that include Dos Equis, Hershey's, Reckitt, Volvo, OppenheimerFunds and more. In her roles, she has managed teams up to 10+ as well as agencies and contractors.

Jennifer has a passion for creating engaging and impactful audio content that connects with listeners and drives business goals. She has a background in film development, book publishing, editorial, creative direction, and branding, and has worked and led projects that have won two Webby Awards (and been honored 2x for work by the Webby's), two OMMA awards, and an Anthem Award nomination. She also started a popular newsletter that reported on disinformation and received acclaim from the New York Times and CNN. She holds an M.A. in Experimental Humanities and Social Engagement from New York University.
